As it is explicitly expressed by its name Bundelkhand had arrived from Bundela's, the rulers of ther region. here in this page I will not go into details of history of bundelkhand as it can be found anywhere in books or at internet but i will emphasize on the present status of bundelkhand, so that rest of the world may know about the region.
Ardh-Narishwar statue at Khajuraho
This is the statue of Ardh-narishwar engraved at temples of khanjuraho, one can easily see a female part of body on the right side of statue and a male part of body on the left side of the statue. Female part is a symbol of Goddess Parvati where male part describe Lord Shiv.
